I never saw a purple cow.
I never hope to see one.
But I can tell you anyhow,
I’d rather see than be one.
OK, so my 101 Things project is officially underway. And I have already completed #1, as well. 
So, in the interest of Thing Number 2, here’s a photo of Thing Number 1. 
Of course, it’s sealed. But it’s addressed to “Future Me” so I’ll be sure Future Me is the one to read it.
Surly Boy stopped by over the weekend. He brought his new girlfriend’s new puppy by.
She’s a pushy little thing – the puppy, that is! But she sure is a cutie. The puppy, that is. 
OK, so here’s a tip.
You know how, when a green bell pepper gets ripe, and it starts to turn colors, until it eventually gets red? And, when it does, it’s far sweeter than the green pepper ever thought of being? And you know how chili peppers, like Tabascos, get ripe and turn red, and when they’re red, they just get hotter?
Well, in case you’ve ever wondered, it turns out that when jalapeños ripen, they lean more toward the hot end of the pepper spectrum than the bell pepper-sweet end. 
We test these things out so you don’t have to. That’s what we do. No need to thank me.
And Harley Kitty stopped by to send another “message” to Jarly. This time it was a chipmunk. 
Here’s hoping he gets the point soon and stops tormenting Stupor Kitty. 
Speaking of strange stuff. I have decided that, since I’ve apparently led such a sheltered life, food-wise, I’m going to be a little more adventurous. At least as adventurous as I can without eating something icky, anyway. So I got the infamous purple cow-liflower 
, a buttercup squash, and a fennel. 
I’m not really sure whether I’ve had fennel before, so I’ve decided that it counts as “new.”
